About

Hiccup was founded in 2019 by Bristol-based artist Daisy as a creative outlet to bring together her multi-disciplinary work under one name.

Seven years on, she has become known for its colourful, playful and wonderfully unconventional creations, from bold art prints and intricately handcrafted polymer clay jewellery to screen-printed clothing featuring her distinctive linework illustrations.

Hiccup's early work was heavily inspired by rave culture and the many genres within electronic music, resulting in vibrant, surreal imagery filled with playful absurdity. While subtle nods to those influences still appear today—such as hidden acid smiley faces and speaker motifs—Daisy’s work has naturally evolved in a more feminine direction. Floral elements, oversized expressive hands, porcelain-inspired details and delicate lace now sit alongside graffiti influences, creating dreamlike worlds where the vintage and contemporary collide.

Jewellery has become a defining part of the brand. Daisy specialises in creating highly detailed polymer clay canes, a process that can take months to perfect before a design is ready to use. These intricate canes are transformed into Hiccup’s signature jewellery pieces, including the iconic Spikey Hoops and statement Cross earrings. More recent collections have explored Delft-inspired porcelain patterns alongside interpretations of classic tartans, drawing inspiration from timeless fashion houses and heritage textiles.

Over the last two years, she has also begun sharing her skills through hands-on polymer clay jewellery workshops across Bristol. Teaching others to explore their creativity has become one of the most rewarding parts of her journey, and she loves welcoming people of all abilities to discover the joy of making something completely unique.
